Alhamdillah, our center is now complete and in use! We faced many challenges and managed to work diligently through the pandemic to final provide our community the proper center. Below you’ll see the project details and informative points we shared with the community throughout the build.

November 27, 2018
BREAKING GROUND
On November 27, 2018, the project officially broke grounds with the full support of Jack O’Reily, Dearborn City Mayor and City Counsel Members Susan Dabaja &Mike Sareini. It was a cold day, but we were heated with energy to see the project officially kick-off.
January 18, 2019
FOOTINGS AND FOUNDATIONS UNDERWAY
After several weeks, the pre-existing warehouse had been completely demoed and digging had begun for the foundation underway.
February 25, 2019
EXTERIOR STRUCTURE BEING CONSTRUCTED
As of late February 2019, exterior brick walls were being put up and it was the first visual of our new building coming together before our eyes, MashaAllah.
March 17, 2019
MINARET FRAME IS INSTALLED
With a crane, the minaret is placed in the front of the building. It will later be bricked and decorated to match the facade of the mosque.
May 22, 2019
CEILING CONSTRUCTION
Metal is placed above the beams running through most of the structure. The goal is to safely close off spaces as the walls are built and ready to be covered.

FIRST PHASE OF FLOOR
With walls and ceiling, a great sense of space is felt here. Rebar is laid on the floor for strengthening the concrete slab to be formed.
July 16, 2019
SECOND PHASE OF FLOOR
Concrete floor has been poured and leveled. Phase Three to follow with tiles, carpet, and etc.
September 24, 2019
EXTERIOR BRICKING ALMOST COMPLETE
The clean and bright exterior of the structure is near completion. Window treatments to be installed soon.

WALKWAY CONCRETE IN PLACE
Sidewalks surrounding the permitter of the build have been laid with concrete and cured. This outlines the structure beautifully and divides the parking lot and landscaping spaces.
December 21, 2019
EXTERIOR ACCENTS INSTALLED
Gold domes are mounted in position as well as the calligraphy stone. These details definitely give a warm welcome and brings us closer to opening.

PAVEMENT INSTALL BEGINS
Driveways and parking lot are being paved and will soon be followed with the painting of parking positions. We encourage our community to drive past our beautiful facility and see it in person as we are all eager to meet in this holy place very soon.

DRYWALL COMPLETE
Walls are in place and mudding has been completed and sanded. A group of youth volunteers assisted with cleaning up the center and preparing for the painters.

NETWORK & A/V EQUIPMENT TESTED
Technology is a very important component, so thanks to our team who set out to implement unique solutions that are both secure and easy to use.

INSTALLATION OF CUSTOM MILLWORK
Beautiful solid wood millwork is being cut and put in place within the entire facility. Once in place, it is to be stained for added depth of color and contrast.

PROJECT COMPLETED
Alhamdulilah…it’s finally complete! All the details have been put in place and now we’re able to open Allah’s (SWT) house to our community and its members.
